Here’s a summary of this week’s story:

  • Peter met his wife on spring break in The Bahamas, and despite initially falling away from faith, he eventually found his way back to God through a church which his wife also started attending at around the same time. Peter reflects on the interesting timing and how he can now see God's hand in his life, despite it being confusing at the time.

  • Peter shares about how a series of events led to his 14-year-old daughter having a stroke but through that experience, he discovered a profound group of men who meet every Friday and have sparked business opportunities and opportunities to serve. He reflects on how God works in mysterious ways, sometimes not giving us what we want, but what we need.

  • His daughter's sickness was a difficult journey for the family but despite the doctors saying there was no healing process, they held on to their faith and community support, which ultimately led to her healing.

  • Peter shares his experience growing up as a non-Caucasian Egyptian in the US and how it never occurred to him that he was different until he moved to a mostly Norwegian town. Despite this, Peter is proud of his Egyptian-Filipino heritage.

  • He advises listeners to be deliberate about building a support system of believers before going through trials and hardships, as community is incredibly powerful and necessary for survival. It is important to know your neighbors and be a part of a community, as life is a team sport.

  • Peter discovered his ability to coach through a journey of self-awareness and focusing on his superpowers, which includes the ability to connect with people and help them discover solutions to their problems. He now does leadership coaching, incorporating biblical principles and helping people improve their tendencies and actions for a better reality. He feels that his work is fulfilling and a form of full-time ministry.
